We are a 501 (c)(3) organization and therefore, non-profit.  To provide the pontoon, boat, trailer and all accessories, we rely totally on financial donations and gifts which are tax-deductible and very much appreciated.

Let’s Go Fishing Itasca would like to thank you for your support . Donations are used to help fund over 120 scheduled outings on 5 different area lakes taking over 1200 seniors and handicapped  in 2014 at no charge. Over the past 7 summers we have  taken almost 700 trips taking almost 6400 people on our pontoon. These seniors come from area nursing homes, assisted livings, adult day cares, senior apartments, support groups, church groups, service clubs, area schools, and people from their own home bringing lots of this smiles and memories.

During the Past 3 years we have had special events and worked hard on raising monies to purchase a new pontoon in 2015, This pontoon was delivered May 15th and it was paid for with monies raised in our community by volunteers and grants by area foundations.

We need to raise $15,000 annually to make this program work, delivering this service to our residents. Expenses to run this program include gas, insurance, fishing and safety equipment, bait, scheduling expenses, pontoon transportation and maintenance. Keep in mind that people involved in our local chapter are volunteers and do not receive any compensation.

Let’s Go Fishing is a very successful program this is due to our dedicated volunteers and through community support they make it possible for LGF to continue to offer this program at no charge to participants.

So far we have had individuals and organizations who donated from $5 to $5000. Every donation is important and none is to small and for us to continue to operate we need the ongoing support of many individuals and businesses; no matter the amount. A small donation will buy a gallon of gas and that will go a long way to continue to make this wonderful program available to senior, mental and physical challenged, and youth population.
